Construction Projects around the School

Posted Date: 06/15/26 (10:46 AM)

Dear Continental Community,

Summer is a busy time for construction and maintenance projects throughout the district.  Crews are currently replacing water and drain lines near the administrative parking lot and along the south side of the high school building.  As of this morning, another crew has begun removing the old track surface in preparation for installation of a new track.

These projects require heavy equipment, large trucks, and active construction zones.  For the safety of both the public and construction workers, please avoid all construction areas and stay clear of any locations marked with cones, signs, fencing, or caution tape.  These areas should not be entered until all work is complete and all safety barriers have been removed.

In the coming weeks, additional projects will begin, including concrete replacement in front of the elementary, repairs to the front steps of the high school, and replacement of a portion of the elementary school roof.

We know many community members enjoy walking on the track.  Once the project is complete, you are welcome to resume using the facility.  At this time, we estimate the track project will be completed around July 20.

These improvements will help preserve our facilities, enhance safety, and serve our students and community for years to come.  If you have any questions about these projects, please contact the Superintendent's Office.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our district facilities this summer.

Respectfully,

Mr. Tim Eding
Superintendent
